During your initial appointment, Dr. Wood examines your teeth and uses a special device to scan your mouth. This provides the data needed for the Invisalign software to create your customized treatment plan.
If you have any areas of decay or other dental needs, Dr. Wood schedules an appointment to address them before your Invisalign treatment begins.
The clear plastic aligners are created by a lab using the data collected during your scan. When they arrive, Dr. Wood shows you how to position them.
From that point forward, you simply wear your aligners 22-23 hours each day. You change to a new set every week or two as your teeth shift into the proper position.Why choose Invisalign over metal braces?
